Shipping ~ Local Pick Up Orders
Our goal is to ship your chocolates as early in the week as possible to ensure all deliveries are complete before the weekend and prevent the risk of the chocolate sitting in a warehouse, where temperatures are not controlled. Orders received on Friday or Saturday are usually held and mailed on the following Monday, unless other arrangements have been made or you have chosen a local pick up option. If a Friday or Saturday delivery is requested, we strongly encourage USPS Priority Mail Express/Overnight or UPS Express shipping and keep in mind, some cities do not offer Saturday delivery.
We do not ship to P.O. Box or APO/FPO addresses.
We do not ship on national holidays.
Same Day Fulfillment:
For local customers only! When orders are submitted by 12 Noon (Monday - Saturday), you may pick up your order the same day. We strive to have all orders filled and delivered to your chosen local pick up location after 2 PM. There may be some circumstances when the order will be available after 5 PM. If this is the case, you will receive notification. You will also recieve an email once your order has been filled and a text message, once it has been delivered if you provided a cell phone number at checkout.
We know shipping costs can be expensive. However, we want our chocolate to melt in your mouth, not in the box! At this time, we use USPS Priority (1 to 3 Day Delivery), USPS Priority Mail Express/Overnight and UPS Ground and UPS Express shipping options for all our deliveries. All packages shipped will have a tracking number, so you can monitor the progress of your order to the final destination.
If you are shipping chocolates to a warm climate of 70 degrees or higher, we highly recommend the Priority Mail Express/Overnight or UPS Express shipping option. We realize you have shipping options at checkout, but please be aware, our recommendations are made with the desire for the chocolates to arrive in the best condition.
When shipping to warm weather destinations, we will add ice packs to your order, but remember these are only made to last for 24 to 36 hours.
Bootleg Bourbon Balls cannot be held responsible for delayed or failed deliveries, due to inclement weather, incorrect shipping address details or any other circumstances beyond our control. Please pick the shipping option that best fits your delivery needs.
Local Pick-Up Options & Locations:
Order online and then choose where you want to pick up your order (for Kansas City Metro customers). Currently we offer (2) convenient pick up locations - Choose the one that best fits your location during the checkout process. Once the order has been fulfilled, you will receive notice via email, your order will be ready after 2 PM, unless other time arrangements have been discussed.
Need a box in a hurry or for a quick gift?? For our local Kansas City metro region customers, we currently offer our most popular item the Kansas City Spirited Sampler (6-Piece only), in the cooler section at The Exchange in Parkville, Missouri.

Processing Orders for Shipment:
Once the order is received, it generally takes 1-2 business days to process your request. If you have chosen the Priority Mail Express/Overnight or UPS Express option, these orders will be prioritized over other shipments. Special order requests are best handled by calling 816.912.6272, Monday - Friday, 9 am to 5 pm. Calls after 5 pm, will be addressed the following Monday.
