A Bit About Our Bourbon Chocolate Balls!

* All our balls contain nuts and some type of alcohol (liqueur).
* Please avoid if you are pregnant.  We would not want to harm your little one.
* You must be over 21 years of age to purchase and consume.
* Our balls are not gluten-free.                                                                            

 

Do you offer bourbon balls without liquor?

We have the greatest respect for those of you who are teetotalers, however, at this time, we do not. 

Is the bourbon/liqueur cooked out?

We add the bourbon/spirit/liqueur right at the end, so the spirit can mingle with the chocolate and pecans, to tantalize your taste buds 

Can I get drunk from eating your bourbon balls?

Highly unlikely.  The balls are bite-sized, maybe two bite-sized, so you would have to eat a lot of them. You are more likely to experience a sugar high, than a buzz, so we feel it is a safe indulgence.  Remember, you must be over 21 years of age to eat these decadent treats, and if you are concerned about driving after eating our bourbon balls, we ask that you eat in moderation and drive responsibly or abstain, until you are home safely.

How long do the bourbon balls last once I purchase them?

They can be kept at room temperature (65-68 degrees) for several days.   If they last that long, congratulations for showing unbelievable self-restraint. If you must store them in the refrigerator, seal the box in a plastic bag. This will protect the chocolates from moisture, the sealed bag prevents the chocolate from absorbing odors.  They may be refrigerated for up to 6 weeks or for 2 months in the freezer.  When you are ready to eat or serve them, allow them to return to room temperature and enjoy!

Do you offer gluten-free bourbon balls?

We respect everyone's dietary needs, however at this time, we do not offer a gluten-free option.

Is your commercial kitchen a nut-free facility?

Our products are made in a commercial kitchen and we primarily use pecans in our recipes.  However, there may be times when we choose to use a variety of other nuts, as we continue to develop new recipes.  If you have any peanut or tree nut allergy, we would recommend you not consume our products. 

What spirits/liqueurs do you use?

Great Question!  With so many people, there are so many favorites.  However, we are a Kansas City local business, and have made a commitment to support our local and regional distilleries.  They are producing excellent tasting spirits and we are sure you will agree. 

Do you accommodate Events and Large Orders?

We also offer 2-piece, 4-piece, 6-piece and 12-piece gift boxes, as well as small and larger party trays.  We can accommodate occasions such as weddings, anniversaries, retirement parties, corporate parties/gifting, client appreciation, spirit tastings and pairings....the list is endless. You have likely thought of some creative gifting ideas of your own.  We ask you notify us at least 2 weeks in advance of your scheduled event.
