Shipping and Local Pickup Details

  • First and foremost, if you have questions that have not been answered below, please feel free to contact us at bootlegbballs@gmail.com.
  • For large orders or events, we have additional box sizes available including 2, 4, 6, 8 and 12 packs. Please reach out directly for large custom orders! bootlegbballs@gmail.com
  • Our bourbon balls are handmade to order, so we never package them until your order has been received.

To maintain freshness of the product, orders are shipped Monday through Wednesday (out of the state of Missouri) and Thursday (local shipments only, if order expected to arrive by Saturday).  We do ship anywhere within the United States, however, we do not ship to P.O. Box or APO/FPO addresses.  We avoid shipping over weekends, to prevent the risk of the chocolates sitting in a warehouse, where temperatures may not be controlled.

We Do Not Ship On National Holidays.

USPS Shipping Options:

We know shipping costs can be expensive.  However, we want our product to arrive to you in the best condition, while maintaining the quality of our chocolate during transit.  At this time, we offer USPS Priority (1 to 3 Day Delivery) and Overnight (Express) for all our deliveries, unless we specify differently at the time of your order.  Within the Kansas City Metro area and surrounding local areas, we may choose to ship on Thursday, if Saturday delivery is available.

* You will be notified by email, once your order has been processed and there will be a tracking number attached, so you can follow the journey of your spirited balls to their designated place.

If you are shipping bourbon balls to a warm climate of 70 degrees or higher, we highly recommend Overnight/Express shipping.  If you do not select Overnight/Express shipping at checkout, Bootleg Bourbon Balls cannot assume responsibility for melted chocolate.  If Overnight/Express shipping is selected, for warm weather destinations, we will include ice packs and insulation for your order, with an added charge of 15.00 to your order.

You will receive an email notification when your order has been completed and all orders will ready for pick up after 12 PM, once you have received your email confirmation.  If for any reason, there is a change, you will be notified either by email or phone, so please ensure your contact information is correct.

Returns:

Our ‘spirited’ balls are a perishable food item, so unfortunately, we do not accept returns.  We package all our bourbon balls with a protective candy pad, in rigid boxes, in an effort to prevent them from becoming damaged or misshapen during transit.  However, once the bourbon balls leave our facility, Bootleg Bourbon Balls cannot guarantee that the package may not become damaged. lost or stolen, or that some of the toppings, that we use on the bourbon balls, do not come off in the package. We are also not responsible for shipping delays due to inclement weather, or other circumstances beyond our control.

We request that you verify your shipping address is correct when you place your order, to assure that you receive your product without any problems.  We are not responsible for delays or returns due to incorrect information.  Shipping costs are non-refundable.

Processing Order for Shipment:

Once the order is received, it will take 2 business days to process.  We also account for shipping days, so please keep this in mind when placing your order.  If you need your order to be received by a certain date, please contact us via phone or email, so we can assist you with your request.

Special orders are best handled by calling 816) 912-6272 and asking for our Customer Service Representative, Monday – Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.  Calls after 5 pm will be addressed the following Monday.
